As with any good project, this one began as a labour of love. One morning, on our way to nursery, my son called gleefully from the back of the car: "Mummy, there are so many fast cars in London!" I peered into the rearview mirror, only to catch my daughter grimacing at the sound of engines whirring and horns beeping. That which was bringing Milo so much excitement, was bringing little Leonora almost to tears. And so, the seed of an idea began to germinate... Why not write a series of stories about and for my two children, to teach them all about loving one another for their differences and the importance of learning to compromise in life? Most of all, I wanted to write stories for them which spoke to the importance of family, and of treasuring this bond no matter what.
